Little steps to a big result

It’s so easy to forget where we’re going or how we’ll get there. There’s a lot of community issues to tackle, and one in particular, Project 30, is not an easy task to take on especially when you’re a new organization still trying to find your way.

It’s been four months since the Leadership Board has been formed, and we’ve already undergone several transformations. I thought I’d take some time to highlight some wins for us and look into the future.

Small wins

  • Two press releases in local Muncie newspapers (The Star Press* and Daily News)
  • Successfully linked 10 male mentors with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware County
  • Successful Big Brothers Big Sisters open house
  • Three wildly fun Think Tanks (including one at the Big Brothers Big Sisters open house)
  • Recruited 10 Ball State students to play a definitive role in the growth of Leadershipboard.org
* Link no longer available

Looking ahead

  • Redefinition of vision and mission statement
  • Further enhancement of Leadership Board social media involvement
  • Finishing Project 30
  • The implementation of Ambassador’s Program
  • A new program formed by Ball State students
  • Roles and leadership definition
There’s so much more to look ahead to, but I wanted to thank everyone who has taken a chance to get this program going.
